Erik Runge

Erik Runge is the Director of New Product Development, Minus K Technology Inc.  Since 2000 he has done the mechanical design, testing, as well as OEM sales and marketing for high performance passive vibration isolators.  These devices are commonly used to prevent ground and building vibrations from damaging the integrity of data from some of the world’s most sensitive analytical instruments.  He has helped grow the company and has expanded its OEM customer base, and continues to push their patented technology into new directions.

From 1999-2000 he worked for ETC (Electronic Transportation Company), where he re-designed and re-tooled the manufacturing for electrical add-on motors for bicycles.

From 1996 to 1999 he was a Project Engineer at Digital Instruments / Veeco in Goleta. Here he was responsible for developing and testing components and systems for Atomic Force Microscopes.

Erik earned his degree in Physics from University of California Santa Barbara in 1996 with many additional classes taken in electronics and engineering.

Erik's outside interests include performing, writing and recording music. He built a small project studio and has recorded the music of several local groups and musicians. He also builds and repairs vacuum tube equipment such as guitar amplifiers and vintage Hi-Fi equipment on the side.

Erik and his wife Ali live in Buellton and
love it.
